- Monty Williams is a software engineer and co-founder of Servio Logic Development Corporation (later GemStone), spinning out of Tek Labs in Beaverton, Oregon alongside Jason Penney and Allan Purdy.
- Williams contributed to the foundational design of GemStone's transaction management and disk storage architecture for persistent Smalltalk objects. See Steering GemStone Toward Sanity.
