Allan Purdy
- Allan Purdy is a pioneer of object-oriented databases and Smalltalk virtual machines, co-founding Servio Logic Development Corporation (later GemStone) with Jason Penney and Monty Williams after experimenting with Smalltalk-80 at Tek Labs.
- Purdy worked on the distributed execution and persistence model for GemStone, creating an industrial-strength object store that powered mission-critical systems worldwide. See Steering GemStone Toward Sanity.
