- Son of Earl Pickett Sr and Lorene Pickett, and brother to Retha Schwartz and Donna Pickett.
- Married to Joyce Pickett.
- Father of Tom Pickett, Patti Meyer, and Barbara Schulz.
- Hosted Randal in his Beaverton home basement in 1978 and introduced him to management at Tektronix, launching Randal's career in tech. See Landing at Tektronix at Age 16 Through Uncle's Introduction.
- Attended the July 1999 family gathering in Oregon. See 1999 Pickett-Schwartz-Samuel-Brainard Family Reunion.
