    • In August 2013, I noted a highly predictable and humorous pattern used by fake accounts sending friend requests.
    • Typically, these accounts would join Facebook, change their profile picture multiple times to various stock photos of a girl, set their location to the nonsensical "Canada, Missouri," and immediately send friend requests.
    • I publicly warned these bots that their tactics were obvious and would not work on me.
