- On October 8, 2011, I attended a ballet adaptation of the opera Carmen and found it quite enjoyable.
- I realized that there is an entire generation of Americans who cannot hear the music of Carmen without thinking of the Gilligan's Island musical episode where the cast sang the plot of Hamlet to those tunes.
