- Richard Lawrence Hatch (1945–2017) was an American actor, writer, and producer best known for playing Captain Apollo in the original 1978 Battlestar Galactica and later Tom Zarek in the 2004 reimagined Battlestar Galactica.
- Richard was a regular attendee and speaker at DragonCon, where we frequently crossed paths in the EFF/Celebrity Green Room. See 13 Years of Dragon Con and the EFF Green Room.
