Ahh, Germany. The home of my father's father before he came to the states, although I had never been there. We docked in Warnemunde, which had formerly been East Germany's primary seaport before the reunification.

We took a water ferry down to Rostock, spent a few hours there, then took a trolley and a train back to the ship.

We ate lunch at the Cafe Wittespeicher, apparently opened only a few weeks earlier. The food was astoundingly delicious. Please eat there.

Shortly after this picture, out of my sight to the left, he tears a flower out of the ground and kicks it, say the other members of my table.

This soup was incredible.
