Day 8 was spent at our second Swedish port, the island of
Gotland,
and the city of
Visby,
apparently founded around 1100 AD, with a 2-mile wall still surrounding
a part of the city.
In the morning, Bill Durrance took two field trips ashore for a photo
expedition. I tagged along with the first, but opted out of the second,
as my feet were getting sore from all the walking in the past few days.
