In Belize, Neil and I (and a few other geekcruises) took the "innertubing through caves" shore excursion.

Our ship was parked (along with a few other cruise ships) just outside the 3-mile limit, leading Neil and I to speculate that it was cheaper to park in international waters and hire high-speed tenders from shore than to pull all the way in to the dock for some reason. We could not get confirmation from anyone officially though.

This small movie was taken with my Canon S70, showing how fast the locally hired tenders are travelling. I could only hope that every port would do this. Wow.

Amazingly, I find a vehicle from my home state (Oregon)! I did a double take when I first noticed the "503" area code, but in a completely wrong context, some 2700 miles away.
