After the cruise, I had booked my return flight a few days later, so I grabbed a car and drove down to Key West, spending two nights there and one in Miami before heading home. My goal was to take many pictures of the old railroad-turned-narrow-highway that linked the Keys in the middle of the 1900's, before the modern highway was built.

Honestly, I chose a subcompact car, but they gave me a free upgrade to this nice yellow Mustang, with a mere 2400 miles on it. I put another 600 miles on the car before turning it in.

The road on the left is the old train route and early highway. The modern highway is on the right.
