Our first full cruise day is dominated by a stop at Holland America's private island, Half Moon Cay.

As is my tradition, I got off on the first tender, went ashore, walked the two miles of beach to the far end, and sat on "my own beach" for about an hour, until the rest of the crowd started figuring out where this beach was.

Back on ship, we review the photos in our first camera workshop, then listen to Illiad talk about writing cartoons on the web.

This is the other end of the beach. Why nobody goes to my end, I don't know.
