We were back out at sea Thursday. Even though I couldn't see straight
Wednesday night (thanks to the Cozumel Carlos and Charlies), I had
to be up early Thursday for breakfast with a friend at 7:30am,
and our Speaker Pictures. About a dozen attendees showed up to get
their picture taken with us, and I got a couple snaps of all of us
arranged for that. Next, it was the second half of my 1-day Perl
class for Java people, and then I goofed off hanging out on deck
until time came for me to host the Quiz Show.
At the Quiz Show, four different teams competed in answering
Java questions and general-purpose questions for valuable prizes.
Unfortunately, on the first few rounds, I kept answering the
questions for the teams, so we had to give a few judgement
concessions. Oops!
After the Quiz Show, it was another formal night in the dining room,
which I skipped to go walking out on the bow of the ship to get some
quiet time and take a few nice moonlight photos.
Later, we had the Wizards Party in the Crows Nest, a place for us
to celebrate the completion of the conference and see each other one
last time as a group. Then the Crows Nest was opened to the public for
an evening of Karaoke. I brought the house down with my rendition of
Mack the Knife.
